Membership fees (in addition to a biannual Casino) enable the Branch to provide:

RSCDS Certified Teachers to lead our classes (September to May)
Hall rentals for dance classes
Edmonton Caledonian Branch Annual Ball and Workshop each February, with a guest band and teachers
Burns Supper, and fun dance days (St Andrew’s, St Patrick, Summer Solstice)
Our Branch website danceeccds.ca

Teacher Certification and qualification is vital to maintain the standard of Scottish Country Dancing. Our teachers uphold these standards with their diligence and enthusiasm. Dancers support the Branch in providing this great programming by registering annually as a proud member of ECCDS (Edmonton Caledonian Country Dance Society, a branch of the RSCDS.

Membership in ECCDS gives every member:

Registered membership with RSCDS Headquarters in Edinburgh
Access to the RSCDS website rscds.org
Magazines and Newsletters from RSCDS HQ in with information and articles on Scottish country dancing worldwide
Discount of 10% on most recordings, publications & merchandise purchased through the RSCDS shop
Access to attend Summer School in St. Andrews and/or Winter School in Pitlochry
Access to information on dances, techniques, formations

Membership Registration:

Membership is a two-step process:

Step 1. Complete the Online Registration Form (Preferred) or download the Membership Registration Form and submit (via email) to danceeccds@gmail.com (forms are also available at the dance classes)

Step 2. Pay by cheque (to ECCDS), cash to Board member or e-transfer (contact bank) to danceeccds@gmail.com (please specify membership in message box of e-transfer)

Categories and Fees
(All Membership Categories expire 30th June, annual)
Classes are complimentary in September

Child/ Youth/ Student $90
Adult $180
